Well,
Its official I’m a FAT BASTARD! In all my Life all 30 years of it I’ve never been Heavier! I jumped on the Scales this morning for the first time in about 8 months and got the shock of my life when I saw the Needle settle on weight for it! Pardon the Pun! 80 kg’s that’s EIGHT ZERO…..Aaaaaaahh,
So this is were I give up drinking not that I drink a great deal anyway but the beer in the fridge will be for guests only.. and I’ll be upping the Training/Exercise Regime as of now.
I know some of you might say that Muscle Weighs more than Fat but I’m no Arnie Schwartzanwhatever! by any stretch of the warped imagination so I hear by serve notice to the old Matt and vow to drop 10kg’s over the next few months lets say 6 shall we….watch this space…

Back on my bike…Pt 2!
Well after I got motivated enough to get back on my bike (Road Bike) for the first time in ages it then dawned on me that were getting our youngest son his first “real” bike for his birthday which falls on Boxing Day of all days!
This then made me wonder that if the Kids wanted to go for a ride on their Bikes I would need to go with / follow them and to do that on a “Road Bike” complete with SPD pedals thin tires bla blah blah! One it would take me longer to get ready and there is a greater than average chance that If I sustained a puncture I would have to walk home!!
So, this Is were the story gets interesting. I walked into http://www.maverickcycles.com.au to get our Youngest a New Helmet for his new Bike once that was sortid out a then proceeded to take a look at the Mountain Bikes…
Now I’ve had a fair few bikes in my time from Mountain to Road, this will be the first time I have owned two bikes at the same time and to have the choice of witch one to ride will be quite novel
I’ll pick up the new bike’s mine and our youngest on Christmas eve! Merry Christmas to me…….

Back on my bike..
![](http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/6788/1968/320/2300.jpg)
Well, I got back on my bike for the first time in far too long…… the reason being is that a Mate and I are going to be competing in an upside down Rogaine! The upside down bit means that it’s done during the night because it will be far too hot to do it during the day out in the Australian Bush as if their not hard enough to do when you can see were your Going!
The Rogaine Part of the event is a bit like orienteering but you get to choose the course you take to maximize the amount of points you score and obviously the Harder the Course you plot the more points you will score. This Event is a 12 hour event that’s why I’m back in training so that we can hopefully stay out on the course for the whole 12 hours or so! The next phase of my grueling training regime will be to start beach running again with my Rogaining Partner next Thursday! Yeah yeah I know right before Christmas too! Well if I don’t stat now I will never start and then it will be too late to do anything! This training all compliments my beach volleyball I play on Monday nights after Work! No rest for the wicked!
Ooroo for now

Our Trip To England
Well here is my very first ever Blog Post...... and it has a link to some of our Photos that I took when we went on holiday to England in November! November you might say… what were you thinking? Well it all revolved around Frequent Flyer (Air Miles) and the fact that the wife (Lia) is Studying at College and trying to fit it in with her holidays…and …..and…
As Lia so studiously pointed out too me we could have held off on the trip and gone next year 06 but I’m like a bull in a china shop when I get an idea into my head I do it and then think about the repercussions afterwards! Oh well I hope you like the Pics and I’ll add more later when I get a chance.
